Vocational Tour

Port Pirie and Environs 07/03/15 – 09/03/15
On the long weekend in March our Club visited Port Pirie as a base for a Vocational Tour of the area.

A two hour bus tour of Pt Pirie “Outside the Gates” (of the Smelter) was ably led by Nipper Nitz, brother of our PP Theo, where we viewed the City, including its history, on a very informative and interesting trip.

Australia Day and the Rotary Club of ElizabethIt’s never easy looking back to determine exactly when the Rotary Club of Elizabeth began an involvement with Australia Day but we think it was around the mid 1970’s. Everything was fairly new, the Town of Elizabeth, the Rotary Club and the community all shared a growing up phase together, everybody was looking for opportunities and community projects of value.
