Most Rotarians know that some of the best times we have are when we serve others, and Rotarian Jim Buckoke has just proved it again, representing our Club on the SA Variety Bash from 10th-17th August. “I almost felt guilty, every moment was so much fun”, he said.
While the dust has settled on this year’s tremendously successful SA Variety Bash, the real benefits are still to come, with a huge $1.75 Million raised for South Australian children in need.
“I am proud of my Rotary Club,” Jim said, “they supported me with sponsorship – we lost one of our Rotary signs crashing through some close branches – and members were there when we departed and when we arrived back after many kilometres travelled in 8 days.”
