For 12 years our Club has contributed to this day, with scientific ‘hands-on’ equipment and demonstrations, in conjunction with SciWorld.
SciWorld is a South Australian not-for-profit organisation that provides science outreach programs in various locations around Adelaide and South Australia.
The children were fascinated with the soap film shapes.
Today an estimated 4000 people enjoyed the demonstrations and equipment of SciWorld, including a “Health Expo”, all facilitated by the City of Playford. The free event is becoming a major drawcard for the region.
Our Rotary tables created much interest.
and the weather was fine outdoors.
For the last few years, a Health expo has been included on the day, with contribution from the local community through Playford Council, University of South Australia and other local bodies.
Rotarian Dr Pandiyan Kamasami worked as part of the Health Expo checking children’s teeth as a free service.
In addition, our Club offered food, sausage sizzle, hot dogs and veggie burgers with a smile!
