On March 26th at our combined meeting with the Lions, ROMAC recognised and thanked the Club for its ROMAC project, hosting Gayatri at the end of last year, and in particular Rotarian Viv Valladares who home hosted Gayatri and her mother for the time she was in Adelaide.
Oleh Bilyk, ROMAC Regional Director, explained to the Lions and Rotarians that we were very fortunate that the Memorial Hospital, Women and Children's Hospital both provided their services free as did the Medical Staff. ROMAC only needed to provide airfares and incidental expenses. Virgin Airline arranged to transport the scooter which the Club had presented to Gayatri as she departed.
He also thanked those Rotarians who had 'entertained' Gayatri and her mother on some of the days when there was a chance for them to see more of Adelaide and environs.
